Beirut (5-Aug-2020) A large explosion took place in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, in which more than 100 people have been killed so far. The explosion took place in the evening, the explosion was so severe that the whole city. Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab has said it is "unacceptable" that the warehouse contained 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate. "I will not leave China until I find out who is responsible," The Lebanese prime minister said those responsible for the blast would pay the price. Addressing the nation on Tuesday night, he vowed to avenge the tragic blast. "I promise you that those responsible will be held accountable for this catastrophe," he said.

He did not deny whether the blast was a terrorist attack or not. However, he apparently confirmed initial reports that the blast came from a warehouse that had been storing explosive chemicals for years. The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a Lebanese customs office. Badri Dahir, Lebanon's director of customs, told local media that the blast was caused by ammonium nitrate in a warehouse. The warehouse contained 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, which is used as nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. In 2015, a large-scale explosion caused similar explosions in the Chinese city of Tianjin.
