Credit for ending power crisis goes to Nawaz Sharif era: Abdul Razzaq Dawood

Lahore (15-Aug-2020) Trade Advisor Abdul Razzaq Dawood has said that the credit for ending the power crisis goes to the Nawaz Sharif era. Power plants have been installed, now the focus of C-Pack is the industrial agriculture sector. Talking to the media informally, he said that the credit for ending the power crisis goes to the Nawaz Sharif government, adding that load shedding ended with the installation of power plants during the Nawaz Sharif era.

Power plants were set up under C-Pack in the previous government. He said that the projects of C-Pac are entering a new phase and work on the projects of C-Pac project is in full swing. C-Pack's focus is now on industry and agriculture. The government has decided to establish border markets with Iran. Similarly, markets are being set up in the former Bara market with Afghanistan.

This will eliminate trafficking and provide effective commercial activities for people living on the border. To a question, he said that global sanctions with Iran are a major obstacle to the development of trade relations. There is no progress in the trade agreement with Iran, as the lack of banking channels between the two countries is an obstacle to the trade agreement.

On the other hand, Chairman C-Pac Authority Lt. Gen. (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa in his statement said that the national plan in C-Pac would increase the growth rate. Human and social development is our priority. 60% of the young population is a precursor to national development. Development is being done by empowering young leadership. He said that special internship of 3 months is being offered to the youth. We are happy to start the internship program at C-Pack.
