Frightened Pakistani batsmen give up defensive mentality: Inzamam-ul-Haq

Lahore (15-Aug-2020) Former national captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has advised the frightened Pakistani batsmen to give up defensive mentality and said that they will have to adopt an aggressive approach to defeat England because they have to be careful. In no way can it be useful and the green shirts will have to face constant struggle.

Inzamam-ul-Haq said on his YouTube channel that even at the start of the second Test, Pakistani batsmen looked scared to play shots against England and if you look at the scenes of most players being out again, you can guess that their bat was behind their feet. When a batsman goes to play a shot, his bat should be in front of his feet.

The former chief selector also pointed out the flaw that Pakistani batsmen were caught in the slip due to their defensive approach which should have resorted to normal cricket. Inzamam-ul-Haq urged the team management and Pakistani batsmen to play aggressive cricket to defeat England, saying that if they did not do so, then they would continue to rely on rain to save the match, so they feared failure. There is a need to focus on positive cricket
