Lahore (18-Aug-2020) Prices of broiler chicken and eggs have come down to the lowest level in 4 years. The price of one kg of chicken has reached Rs 97 per kg. According to the details, the price of broiler chicken and eggs in the wholesale market has reached a four-year low. The price of chicken has gone up to Rs 97 per kg while a dozen eggs have gone up to Rs 116. In this regard, traders say that the massive stockpiling of sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha has led to a record decline in the price of chicken and eggs.

Prices of chicken and eggs will rise again after the stored meat of sacrificial animals is eaten. They will also increase the prices of chickens and eggs during Muharram - as new zoos are widely distributed this month. Earlier, the price of chicken had dropped significantly due to reports of corona virus.
