KARACHI (12-Aug-2020) The Sindh government has declared August 14 as a public holiday. According to details, the Sindh Services Department has issued a notification stating that August 14 will be a public holiday across the province. ۔ Pakistan's 74th Independence Day will be celebrated with traditional fervor across the country on August 14. The day will begin with special prayers for the security, development and prosperity of the country and the nation, starting in the morning in the provincial capital Peshawar. It will be with the salute of 21 cannons.
Work has been started to decorate various government and non-government offices of the city with electric lights. National flags have been hoisted at various places across the city. The 74th Independence Day of the country will be celebrated with a renewed commitment that not a single minute will be spared to take this country to new heights of development and prosperity. Special events will be held. August 14 will be a public holiday. In addition to flag hoisting, cakes will be cut at the events.
