Hindus were tortured. A young Indian Muslim has been brutally beaten with a hammer in public on suspicion of carrying beef in the Gurgaon district near New Delhi, according to details.

Videos of the incident also surfaced on social media, showing a group of men kicking and dragging the driver of a pickup truck on the road, while one of them struck the victim several times with a hammer.

A video shows a policeman standing next to the victim, wearing a T-shirt and track pants, while several people became silent spectators watching the brutal act on the street. The victim, Luqman, told police that he was transporting buffalo meat from Noah to Saddar Bazaar in Gurgaon in his pick-up truck. When he reached Gurgaon, he was followed by some motorcyclists.

According to the Indian police, one accused has been arrested. He is identified as 25-year-old Pradeep Yadav. He hails from Bhavani district but currently lives in Rajivnagar, Gurgaon. "Other suspects have also been identified and will be arrested soon," police added.
