Players' match fees, daily allowances, travel and accommodation expenses are paid by the PCB itself, so the franchisees will either not get any money or will come in very small portions, some may even have to pay. Yes, they have to pay a franchise fee to the board every year. The income from their sponsorship and other sources is not very high. In that sense, very few franchisees will benefit.
Disputes with some key stakeholders and other issues will also delay the receipt of some funds to the Board. The production of the matches cost Rs. 864,025,440, 5% will be provided by 4,32,1272 boards while the remaining 82,824,168 will be provided by franchisees. The Rs. 483,823,529 received from the title sponsorship will be distributed in half, the 40% share of the board will be Rs. 193,529,412 while the franchises will get Rs. 292,94,117.
Gold sponsorship rights amounted to Rs. 152,08,363 while silver rights amounted to Rs. 133,820,037. The 40 per cent share (gold) of the board is 683,345 and 53,528,015 (silver), the franchisees will get 91,25,018 (gold) and 82,92,022 (silver). The umpires sponsorship rights will come to Rs 54,033,266, the 40 per cent share of the board will come to Rs 2,16,13,306 while the franchises will come to Rs 32,419,960.
