The government lifted lock-down restrictions from several businesses and markets.



ISLAMABAD (06-Aug-2020) The government has lifted the working hours for opening all businesses, markets and bazaars, Federal Minister Asad Umar said on Saturday and Sunday. Permission has been granted to open these and outdoor services, cinema halls and theaters, beauty parlors, gym clubs, parks, tourist spots.

He said that tourist destinations will be opened from tomorrow, while restaurants and hotels in tourist destinations will be opened on August 8, while all restaurants across the country will be allowed to open on August 10, as well as from August 10. Cinema halls and theaters will also be opened. Sports other than kabaddi, rugby, wrestling and spectators will be allowed.

He said in a media briefing after the meeting of the National Coordinating Committee that the government took strong measures to control Corona, lockdown then smart lockdown system came, we developed an integrated strategy, also praised Pakistan in international journals. Going, Pakistan has done a great job. In view of all this, some sectors were closed. Today, the NCOC has decided that on the recommendations of which the National Coordinating Committee has decided that the educational institutions have been given a date of September 15. Similarly, beauty parlors, gym clubs, parks are being allowed to open from August 10. SOPs are being set up to open all these sectors. Marriage halls will also be opened from September 15. Public transport is also being opened, standing metro buses will not be allowed to travel standing. The ban on double riding of motorcycles has been lifted. SOPs for trains and air travel will remain in place till September 30. People will be able to travel in a normal way. Shrines are also being opened. Permission has to be sought from the district administration for holding Urs. All businesses, including markets, shops and bazaars, will be allowed to operate on Saturdays and Sundays.
