The threat of dengue outbreak began to loom in Punjab.


Lahore (07-Aug-2020) The threat of dengue outbreak in Punjab is looming. According to details, the Dengue Expert Advisory Group has opened a pool of performance of the health department. In this regard, the spokesperson of the Dengue Expert Advisory Group said that Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad and Multan are becoming hotspots for dengue. The health department has not trained doctors in the cities with possible hotspots.

The spokesman further said that a large number of dengue larvae were found from different cities of the province, a large number of dengue larvae were found but how come there are so few dengue cases in the province? Dengue cases are being reported in the province but the actual number is not being reported. Spokesperson added that the number of dengue larvae was increasing due to humidity and rains in the air, adding that the Punjab Healthcare Commission had not done any work on training of staff in private hospitals.

It should be noted that at present, like the rest of the world, the corona virus is spreading in Pakistan as well, due to which the country's system was in disarray. However, Corona's situation in Pakistan is now beginning to improve. The number of those who defeated Corona began to increase across the country. The situation in Corona is improving with each passing day in Pakistan, after which the number of new cases is decreasing while the number of people recovering is also increasing.

In this regard, it has been reported that the number of people recovering in Pakistan has exceeded 258,000 while the number of active cases across the country has come down to 18,494. The National Command and Operations Center has released new statistics on Corona virus in the country, according to which Corona virus attacks are ongoing in the country and 782 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of Corona virus patients in the country to 2. The number of active cases in the country has reached 18,494.
